Hon. Bill D. Robinson, Jr.
Judge Robinson retired after 21 years as a Kansas District Court Judge in Wyandotte County, Kansas. His legal career began in 1968 with private practice in Kansas City, Kansas. He served as Assistant Wyandotte County Attorney and as City Prosecutor for the City of Kansas City, Kansas. He has conducted over 350 jury trials, hundreds of trials to the court and thousands of motions and pretrial hearings including settlement conferences. He has served on the Kansas Court of Appeals. Jury trials have included highly publicized murder, medical malpractice cases, F.E.L.A., employment compensation and discrimination; and assorted tort and commercial cases. He completed the intensive training course of Civil Mediation at the National Judicial College, University of Nevada, Reno in 1996, and the Economics Institute for State Judges presented by the Law and Organizational Economics Center of the University of Kansas in 1997.
Professional Activities
Judge Robinson has received the Distinguished Service Award from the National Council on Crime and Delinquency. He has been recognized for his work in establishing the Computer Network for Judges and the construction of the Wyandotte County Law Library.
Education
He received his Juris Doctorate Degree from the University of Kansas School of Law in 1968 and his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration at the University of Kansas in 1965.
